Sustain SC supports efforts to ensure South Carolina has an affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy sector that powers industry and strengthens our state’s resilience.

Through multi-stakeholder engagement with private and public sectors, we support energy engagement to retain and attract industry in our state.

We work with our members to identify company demand for meeting emissions goals and requirements to foster solutions for affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.

Strategic Actions

TOGETHER, OUR ACCELERATOR WORKING GROUP IS ADVANCING THE FOLLOWING INITIATIVES:

  • Holding Cross-Sector Energy Forums: Roundtable sessions were held quarterly throughout 2025 to engage energy stakeholders, industry representatives, agribusiness, legislators, conservation NGOs and economic developers to address energy challenges facing South Carolina and discuss solutions for a resilient energy future. Roundtables will continue in 2026.

  • Statewide Polling and Legislative Education: A statewide poll of 500 GOP voters, conducted in 2025, revealed that republican and conservative Independent voters in South Carolina strongly support clean energy projects, regognize their benefits, and favor continued investment. Learn more here.
